The wedding day is one of the most important days for many people. Therefore, you should make sure that you look stunning during this special ceremony.
At VAN THORN, we advise the bridegroom on what to wear so that he and the bride make a beautiful pair of newlyweds. Depending on your individual needs, we suggest a made-to-measure dinner suit or a wedding suit supplemented with a matching made-to-measure shirt.
We offer advice on the fabric, the cut and finishing details of the wedding suit and shirt. We also help to choose various accessories matching the colour of the bride's dress and her accessories. In addition, we take into account the wedding theme (e.g. “the 1920s” or “Caribbean Party”).
An elegant suit can also be used after the wedding. In this case, it is recommended that you select a classic dark suit, e.g. black or midnight blue, made of fabric which has a light, natural sheen.
Normally, it takes 6 weeks to make a wedding suit, though it can be made within 3–4 weeks for an additional payment. The shirts can be ready in 2 or 4 weeks. Please bear this in mind when ordering made-to-measure clothes, and do not wait until the last moment to place an order.
Depending on their individual preferences, customers may choose a dinner jacket with a shawl collar or a peak lapel, supplemented with a silk cummerbund and a bow tie. The dinner jacket shirt can be pleated and have decorative studs or simple hidden buttons. For a wedding shirt, we recommend French cuffs with cufflinks. It is generally a good idea to have at least two shirts for your wedding ceremony just in case.
